Better Technology, Better Results.
Technology and science play central roles in all sports around the world. Teams and athletes are constantly seeking that 1% extra performance boost or a method that speeds recovery. Here at Florida State, it's no different. Several of our highly successful women's sports teams utilize cutting-edge technology that enables us to remain amongst the nation's top Division I programs. While there is always more to learn, sports science makes a huge impact on our performance. Data impacts what athletes eat, how and when they train, how they recover from practice and injuries. As the saying goes, it's not only about how hard you work – but how smart you work.
Sports science has changed things in a big way at Florida State. We were amongst the first Division I athletic programs in the country to implement performance technology. Teams and athletes can now get real-time data on performance, endurance, recovery, technique, sleep and more. We can compare that data with previous benchmarks to understand their body's condition. More, high-quality data means recovering from training sessions, games and injuries more efficiently than ever.
Now, our women's soccer, softball, volleyball, beach volleyball, golf and tennis teams all reap the rewards of sports science technology. In our recent history, these teams have all performed at the highest level on the national stage, bringing home national and conference championships. That is not a coincidence. Sports science makes the difference.
We ask you today to support our effort to provide essential sports science technologies and equipment to our women's programs for the 2020-21 season. If you are a current Coaches Clubs member, please consider increasing your overall contribution to support this important initiative. For our prospective, first-time donors, know that sport science technology is one of the tangible ways your dollars will make a difference on and off the field.
