Happy Easter from SSB: Seminoles Fill Their Basket with Wins!

This Easter weekend most people were searching for eggs, but the Seminoles were searching for something better, wins. And they found plenty.

Up in Virginia, FSU Baseball delivered a weekend that was full of energy and game-changing moments for their series win against #10 UVA. This win was needed to keep confidence high going into a midweek game against FSU rival, UF and then a weekend series against #2 Georgia Tech.

But that’s not all the Seminoles had in their easter basket, Softball matched their momentum with a sweep against Notre Dame to continue their extensive win streak. Onto the golden egg of the weekend was track and field’s strong performances across multiple events, placing top 10 in many. Adding another successful weekend to this already impressive spring.

In Tallahassee, the hunt isn’t for candy, but for performances that win games and momentum that keeps the seasons going strong. The Seminoles basket is full as they continue to prove these seasons are worth watching.

And don’t worry, even though Easter is over, their hunt for success isn’t. There’s still plenty more ahead.

Where Passion Meets Purpose: 2026 FSL LineDance Raises Over $800K

Florida State University’s annual FSL LineDance brought the Tallahassee community together once again for one of campus’s largest philanthropic events breaking history this year raising over $800,400!

LineDance is a Panhellenic dance competition where all 17 sororities perform choreographed routines, ranging from hip-hop to contemporary, after months of preparation and fundraising. Beyond the performances, the event’s purpose is to raise money for important campus and community organizations, including the Victim Advocate Program, Food for Thought Pantry, Unconquered Scholars Program, and other local initiatives.

This year, Seminole Student Boosters had the opportunity to be a Gold Title Sponsor for this event. With thousands of students in attendance, the event highlights unity, creativity, and giving back within FSU’s Greek life.

Our own Seminole Student Booster reporter, Adriana Alvarez, is a dancer for the Kappa Delta team. She says, “These past 3 years being on LineDance has been the most incredible experience. Giving back to FSU through something I’m so passionate about has been so rewarding.”

This year, Alpha Delta Pi took home first place, standing out with an impressive performance and strong philanthropic efforts. See you next year, dancers!

23 Straight and Still Rolling: No. 8 Florida State Sweeps Notre Dame in Dominant Fashion

The eighth-ranked Florida State Seminoles continued their mid-season tear this past weekend, completing a dominant three-game sweep of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Tallahassee. The Seminoles proved exactly why they belong at the top of the ACC standings by extending their incredible winning streak to 23 games.

The series began on April 2 with a convincing 7–2 victory, as the FSU lineup consistently found gaps in the Irish defense. Danley tossed four shutout innings to anchor a 10-0 mercy-rule win that ended after just five frames. To close out the series on April 4, the Seminoles fended off a late Notre Dame push to secure an 8-4 win.

Key offensive contributions from Isa Torres and Kennedy Harp ensured the Irish never stood a chance. With an overall record of 35-4 and a perfect 12-0 mark in conference play, Florida State has now defeated Notre Dame in 18 consecutive meetings.

Noles, keep showing up—this team is just getting started.
