PLANNED GIVING

Custodes Lampadis
The Custodes Lampadis Society, or "Guardians of the Torch," is an elite group dedicated to preserving intercollegiate athletics at Florida State University. Members ensure future generations of athletes receive a quality education by contributing to endowed scholarships or the Florida State Athletic Fund. These gifts, which can be designated by sport and named in honor of someone, are made in perpetuity. Membership in this exclusive society is granted to anyone who makes an estate gift to Seminole Boosters, regardless of the gift's size or type.

Trusts
A Charitable Lead Trust is a financial arrangement where income generated from a gift you make is allocated to support Florida State Athletics for a designated period. During this time, the funds you contribute will directly benefit the athletics program, contributing to its growth and success. Once the specified period concludes, the remaining assets in the trust are returned to you or your designated heirs. This type of trust allows you to support a cause you care about while also ensuring that the remainder of your gift ultimately benefits your family or estate.
Life Insurance
Transferring ownership of a life insurance policy that you no longer need, or alternatively, funding a new life insurance policy with the intention of supporting athletics, are both exceptional strategies for making a meaningful and impactful gift. By transferring an existing policy, you effectively redirect its value to support athletic programs, while simultaneously relieving yourself of any future premium payments and potentially receiving a charitable deduction. On the other hand, establishing a new life insurance policy with a charitable intent allows you to make a significant future contribution to athletics at a relatively modest current cost. Both approaches offer the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the athletic programs you care about, ensuring their growth and success for years to come.
Income
You make a gift to the Seminole Boosters and receive income for your life or for the lives of the beneficiaries you choose. These plans include Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts.
Estate
Bequests are a powerful and flexible way to make a meaningful gift to the Seminole Boosters through your estate plans. By including Seminole Boosters as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, you can ensure that your philanthropic legacy supports the organization’s mission long after your lifetime. This can be accomplished by specifying a particular sum of money, a percentage of your estate, or specific assets to be directed to the Seminole Boosters.
